  • Newspaper Clipping– This short report of the death of Air Mechanic Crane (though with his initials inaccurately reported) appeared on page 1 of the August 16, 1917 issue of the Barrie Examiner newspaper (Barrie, Ontario). Note: "Camp Hoare" was the Royal Flying Corps airfield at Camp Borden, west of Barrie, named in honour of Lieutenant-Colonel (later Brigadier-General) C.G. Hoare, the commanding officer of the RFC in Canada.
  • Grave Marker– Pictured is Air Mechanic Crane's grave in the Barrie Union Cemetery, Barrie, Ontario. It is marked by a standard Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstone. This headstone was installed in the Spring of 2012, replacing an older one. (Image taken by Gregory J. Barker of Barrie in 2012. This image may be copied and used without further permission.)
  • Original Grave Marker– Pictured is the headstone that marked Air Mechanic Crane's grave, in the Barrie Union Cemetery, Barrie, Ontario, for many years prior to 2012. In the Spring of 2012, it was replaced by a new marker. (Image taken by Gregory J. Barker of Barrie in 2010. This image may be copied and used without further permission.)
