Born 4 September 1891 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Son of Mrs. Margaret Rae of Toronto, Ontario. Husband of Isabella Rae and father of two children living in Toronto, Ontario. He travelled from Liverpool, England to Canada on Hospital Ship Letitia on 12 March 1917. In his civilian life he was an upholster.
