  • Newspaper Clipping– William James Addy enlisted at Valcartier Camp, Quebec, on September 22nd, 1914, serving with the First Canadian Contingent. According to his military attestation, he had ten years prior service with Toronto's Queen's Own Rifles.  His brothers Edward R. Norman Addy, 135636, and Ralph Wilson Addy, 135642, both enlisted in Toronto on July 22nd, 1915 with the 74th Battalion.  Another brother, Thomas Henry Addy, 862056, enlisted in Toronto's 180th (Sportsmen) Battalion on January 28th, 1916.  In honoured memory of the Addy family.
