Noeux-les-Mines is a town 6 kilometres south of Bethune on the main road to Arras. The Communal Cemetery is on the northern side of the town, on the south-east side of the road to Labourse.

  • Letter– Page 1 and 2 of a four page letter sent by Pvt AC (Crombie) Bellamy to his Mother and family November 19 1916 from London prior to going to the Front.
  • Letter– Pages 3 and 4 of a four page letter from Pvt AC Bellamy to his Mother and family November 19, 1916. A poignant ending:  "I have been talking with a lot of men from the front and they seem to like it fine. Tell dad to keep believing the war will soon be over."
  • Telegram– Copies of telegrams received by Private Alexander Crombie Bellamy's family, 1) notifying them he had been wounded; 2) notifying them he had died from his wounds.
  • Family photo– Photograph of Alexander Crombie Bellamy and his family, prior to his going overseas with the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force. Back Row, l-r: William, Alexander Crombie Bellamy, Amey, Viola; Front Row, l-r: mother Mary, George, father George W.
  • Attestation Papers– My Great-Great Uncle. My son is visiting the Vimy Memorial with Cadets and was hoping that Alexander was buried there. We have found out he is actually buried 16 min from the Vimy Memorial. We are still going through all family albums in hopes we find more.
