Neuville-St Vaast is a village 6.5 kilometres north of Arras, a little east of the road from Bethune to Arras. LA TARGETTE BRITISH CEMETERY lies to the south-west of the village on the north-west side of the road to the village of Maroeuil.

  • letter– I found this letter tucked into an old Mepham family bible.  It is from a cousin fighting overseas in France, to my great-aunt Grace Mepham, describing his experience and reporting what he has been able to learn of the death of Grace's brother and my great-uncle, Frederick Scott Mepham.  As I sort through boxes of old photos I hope to find and add a photo of Frederick as an adult.
Frederick Scott Mepham was from Hamilton Ontario, the son of Thomas Mepham one of two sisters Thomas married... either Lucinda Wilson or Martha Scott Wilson....
