Pont du Hem is a hamlet situated on the main road from La Bassee to Estaires. Follow the D 947 from La Bassee to Estaires for 10 kilometres and the PONT-DU-HEM MILITARY CEMETERY lies on the left hand side of the road 5 kilometres short of Estaires.

  • Grave marker– Captain Allston Flagg was a member of the class of 1909 at the Royal Military College of Canada, Cadet #547. He served with the Royal Norfolk Regiment attd 58th Vaughan's Rifles (Frontier Force). He died on September 26, 1915. He was buried in Pont-Du-Hem Military Cemetery La Gorgue, France.
