His brothers served during the First World War. Reuben died on April 17, 1917 while serving with the Canadian Infantry (New Brunswick Regiment) and John died on August 29, 1918 while serving with the Canadian Railway Troops.

  • Newspaper Clipping– The Wilkinson family lost three sons as a result of their military service during the first World War and shortly afterwards.  Pte. Reuben Wilkinson, 413097, 26th Battalion (New Brunswick), died on April 17, 1917. Sapper John Wilkinson, 2499683, Canadian Railway Troops, died on August 29, 1918. Pte.
