LEST WE FORGET
OUR BOYS WHO SLEEP WHERE POPPIES GROW BETWEEN THE CROSSES ROW ON ROW THAT MARK THEIR PLACE
THEY ARE THE DEAD, SHORT DAYS AGO THEY LIVED, FELT DAWN, SAW SUNSET GLOW, LOVED, AND WERE LOVED, AND NOW THEY LIVE IN FLANDERS FIELDS.
TO US FROM FAILING HANDS THEY THROW THE TORCH
BE OURS TO HOLD IT HIGH.
IF WE BREAK FAITH WITH THEM WHO DIE THEY SHALL NOT SLEEP, THOUGH POPPIES GROW IN FLANDERS FIELDS.
