An Easy Choice to Make

Transcript
When it came time to graduate and finish high school it was time to move on to bigger and better. When I went in and did the aptitude tests that we all had to do at the time basically they give you a piece of paper with all the trades that you can chose whether it was army, navy, air force and they say anything above the red line you can choose and my red line was right on the bottom of the page so I had so much to choose from it was unbelievable. So I just read through the pamphlets and found what was interesting. I sort of had an inkling that I wanted to go air force anyway and then when I came across the trade for air weapons systems and weapons tech air it was called at that time, I chose that because it did sound interesting with the nature of the work that they were describing. The weapons tech air and then later on the air weapons systems technician, they work on all the aircraft weapons systems and all the munitions whether they store them, handle them, build them up, load them on the aircraft, do whatever maintenances are required to those weapons systems and there’s quite a variety and my mainstay later on when I was in Germany was working on the missiles, the Aim-7 Sparrow and the Aim-9 Sidewinder.
