Keeping the Bonds of Friendship

Transcript
You know the friendships that I made then, you know, I’ve kept them all these years, and they were wonderful. I guess it’s because we were, I don’t know, all in the sort of in the same boat and uh, we just enjoy each other so much when we get together and talk over all these stories. We did have a lot of fun, but there was you know a lot of sorrow went with it. That was at East Grinstead but, uh, but we, we enjoyed the patients there so much too. I don’t know I guess it was the, like they say the best of times and the worst of times. There were little children came to the hospital, uh you know, that had fallen on these anti-personnel bombs and that you know and uh I can remember one little boy he was, you couldn’t see his face, but he just wanted me to sit there and hold his hand you know.
