L’adjudant Jason Ritchie et le maître de 2e classe David Cox, des Forces armées canadiennes, ont fait une présentation conjointe au conseil de North Grenville en juin 2010 et ont demandé un drapeau municipal de North Grenville pour le hisser à l’entrée du Camp David en Afghanistan pendant leur période de service. Au terme de leur rotation, les soldats ont rendu le drapeau à la communauté et l’ont présenté officiellement au maire David Gordon et au conseil municipal lors d’une cérémonie spéciale de rapatriement du drapeau qui s’est tenue le 14 février 2011.

The flag was returned to the Municipality of North Grenville on February 14, 2011. The flag is displayed in the entrance to the Municipal Centre and represents the Municipality's support of the men and women who served in Afghanistan.
