Le village de Little Bona et ses vingt-cinq habitants érigèrent un monument de la Grande Guerre en honneur du soldat Michael John White du Royal Newfoundland Regiment.

Il avait été renversé et endommagé, mais le Royal Newfoundland Regiment de la BFC St. John’s l’a réparé et, avec des agents de la faune, a remis le monument commémoratif en place le 15 juin 2015. Un mât arborant le drapeau du Royal Newfoundland Regiment  a été ajouté en 2015.
