Soldat Arthur Brown
This is Arthur's headstone in Burton-on-Trent Cemetery. He is buried with his parents, John & Elizabeth Brown. He was a Porter by occupation. At the time of his enlistment he was in the Active Militia with the 9th Mississanga Horse and had previously served 7 years with the 19th Hussars. He enlisted on 26th July 1915 in Toronto. Interestingly, he understated his actual age by 3 years!
