Grave of 760775 Pvt. Robert McGuinness M.M. who served with the 29th Battn. C.E.F. Born in Edinberg Scotland on July 17th 1884. Husband of Elizabeth McGuinness of East Vancouver BC.
Robert enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Jan. 6th 1916 listing his occupation as "Banker" During the war Robert was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in April of 1917.
Robert died at Vancouver BC on June 19th 1919 at age 34 during the great Spanish Flu panademic of 1918-19. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.

The correct spelling is McGuinness not McGuiness.
