Mr. Robinson discussed the German resistance against Allied advances during the months after D-Day.

They were very determined at that point and they had, their fire power was very good. Their ADH and everything were, you had to make sure, you try and get out of, don't leave anything sitting up on the high line for them to hit, and, but they were starting to slack off after that. After a few days as the other people, other companies or other battalions moved up through us onto the next phases and so on. But there was not much, there was a bit of, on that trip going up the coast there, there were, the Germans would leave posts and try and stop the invasion going up that far, but nothing a very serious type, cause we went up to Dieppe there once we got mobile, they brought in the transport and we were able to move there pretty fast.
