In every profession there's an independent, there's an independence, an interdependence and a dependance, and that changes periodically. I don't think we've got the message out that, that we do not, we're not there to, to be physician's handmaidens at all and, its been to our detriment. It's strange that I hear today, physicians say patient care and they attribute patient care to themselves. There's no physician I've ever known in forty-five years of nursing who's ever done patient care. That is nursing! And now they're encroaching on nursing! So, you know, lets get the facts on the table here, and it's time, it's high time nurses made this very clear, became more assertive, became more, outspoken, and made it very clear that, that they have their own profession thank you very much, and it has nothing to do with medicine.
