Most of our action was in Italy. We started out from, from, in my instance, in a place called Pontecorvo and we went right up as far as, pretty near up as far north as Milan before coming back down to Leghorn and riding up through France and then picking up again in, in Holland. We travelled by truck, sixty hundred weights. The regiment that I was in was Infantry Support Regiment. We did most of our travelling in half tracks, actually our primary duty was to support the tanks in the spring and in the late winter when the weather wasn’t very good we worked as infantry, we became infantry men. We were right in the front line.
