Serving with the RCAMC was Corporal George Hedley Wolfendale, a priest of the Church of England who had enlisted at the outbreak of war. At the time of the bombing of All Saints Church in Merstham, England and the resulting injuries to the vicar, he took over and saw that life and worship of the church continued. He would never forget the parishioners of South Merstham, and how his engineering connections enabled him to realise the dream of giving them a new church.

Cimetière de guerre de Bologne Italie
Le cimetière de guerre de Bologne se trouve dans la région rurale de SanLazzaro (Parco Dei Cedri), dans la commune et province de Bologne. Il est situé du côté nord de la route principale qui s'étend de Bologne à Forli (Route no. 9) et à Via Dozza, à 5 kilomètres environ au sud-est de la ville et à 200 mètres environ avant que la route ne traverse la rivière Savena. Le cimetière est ouvert de façon permanente et on peut le visiter après les heures de travail de l'équipe de jardiniers bien qu'à ce moment-là, vous ne pourrez obtenir d'informations supplémentaires.
L'horaire de l'équipe de jardiniers est le suivant :
À partir du premier lundi d'avril :
Du lundi au jeudi : de 097 :30 à 12 :00 et de 13 :00 à 16 :45
Vendredi : de 07 :30 à 12 :00 et de 13 :00 à 15 :30
À partir du premier lundi d'octobre :
Du lundi au jeudi : de 08 :00 à 12 :00 et de 13 :00 à 16 :00
Vendredi : de 08 :00 à 12 :00 et de 13 :00 à 15 :00
