A Christmas Card received from Private John Fisher 1915-16. My mother and John were friends. I have a wonderful collection of letters that were exchanged between my mother and her many friends from Calgary Alberta that fought in the 1st War. These letters are so special as they are the voice of those who bravely fought and the voice of those that dearly cared for them.

CIMETIÈRE MILITAIRE DE LIJSSENTHOEK Belgique
Le cimetière militaire de Lijssenthoek est situé à environ 12 kilomètres à l'ouest du cimetière municipal d'Ypres, sur la Boescheepseweg, une route qui part de la route N308 reliant Ypres à Poperinge.
À partir du centre-ville d'Ypres, rendez-vous sur la Poperingseweg par la Elverdingsestraat en passant au-dessus de deux petits carrefours giratoires sur la J. Capronstraat. La Poperingseweg est le prolongement de la J. Capronstraat et débute après un important passage à niveau. En arrivant à Poperinge, tournez à gauche sur la route périphérique de Poperinge (R33).
Suivez cette route et tournez à gauche à l'intersection avec la route N38, la Frans Vlaanderenweg. Parcourez 800 mètres sur la route N38 et tournez à gauche sur la Lenestraat. Tournez tout de suite après à droite, sur la Boescheepseweg. Le cimetière se trouve à 2 kilomètre du côté droit de cette route.
