Grave of John Irving Black buried in Whitehaven Cemetery England on 1st July 1917 Also his wife Annie Black (nee Benn). Her ashes having been brought from Canada and buried with him on 29th August 1980.

This is the WW1 Memorial Plaque from the Eatons Toronto store. John worked as a Fireman at the store when he enlisted. His name is engraved along with the other Eatons employees who gave their lives. (In 2004 the Eatons family asked that the plaque be sent to the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.)
