Alan Curtis

Mr. Curtis is a Veteran of Air Force. After moving to Canada in 1971, he joined Canadian Legion Branch #27 (St. Anthony's), where he has held numerous executive positions including Honours and Awards chair, secretary, Branch service officer, zone representative, vice president and, on two occasions, Branch president. Mr. Curtis has also held executive positions at the Provincial Command level and served as Provincial Command president. Mr. Curtis was instrumental in remodelling the St. Anthony’s Legion and was the driving force behind the Book of Remembrance which catalogues all Branch 27 Veterans from the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. Mr. Curtis continues to serve his Branch in many activities and the Provincial Command on the Poppy and Remembrance Committee and Executive Council. He has also acted as a surveyor for Veterans Affairs Canada for Veterans residing in seniors’ facilities.
