Mr. Williams is a Canadian Forces Veteran who served in Cyprus, Europe, Egypt, Lebanon, Cambodia and Israel. He has been a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion since 1988, first with Branch #110 in Trenton and then with Branch #637 in Oshawa. He has served the Legion executive as service officer and works tirelessly with Veterans to ensure they are receiving all the benefits to which they are entitled. Mr. Williams is a member of the Legion’s “Living History” Speakers Bureau, speaking at many venues in the Greater Toronto Area including citizenship ceremonies. He has trained Red Cross volunteers and has visited schools to raise awareness on Canada’s position on landmines. Mr. Williams is also a devoted attendee at the annual Remembrance Day ceremony.
