Audrey Wiberg

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Ms. Wiberg has been a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) since 1995. In addition to the many RCL branch committees she belongs to, Ms. Wiberg ensures the annual Poppy Campaign is well-organized from start to finish. She enlists numerous volunteers to deliver poppies and wreaths to local malls and businesses and ensures all wreath layers are in attendance at the annual Remembrance Day service, which is attended by close to 7,000 residents of the city. Every November 11th, Ms. Wiberg is at her Legion branch from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., serving food from noon to 7:00 p.m. to approximately 400 Veterans and their guests. Ms. Wiberg helps to organize Legion garage sales, pancake breakfasts, school tours of the local museum, and visits to Veteran shut-ins or those who are in hospital. Each December, Ms. Wiberg volunteers for the 3 days that the Legion participates in ringing bells for the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign.
