Bryan Quinlan

Mr. Quinlan is a Veteran of the Second World War. He is one of the driving forces behind the 801 Wing (Vancouver) Air Force Association of Canada. He has tirelessly fundraised for numerous causes most recently, for the awarding of a $7,500 BC 150 Grant to recognize the contributions of Army and Navy Veterans. In 2008, 801 Wing, in conjunction with three other Veterans organizations, dedicated a monument in Vancouver's Jericho Park in recognition of the military personnel who served at both the Jericho Beach Flying Boat Station and North Jericho in the development of British Columbia from 1920 to 1969. Mr. Quinlan was successful in registering the Jericho Beach Memorial with the National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials. Along with a previous Commendation recipient, Mr. Quinlan plans and coordinates the Battle of Britain ceremony at Boundary Bay Airport in Delta, British Columbia. This successful ceremony is attended by more that 1,500 people annually. Mr. Quinlan built an aircraft landing flight simulator game for learning events and cadet functions, which is very popular at commemorative events.
