Claudette Davidson

Ms. Claudette Davidson has served as a volunteer at Ste. Anne's Hospital for Veterans for over 15 years. In her capacity as a volunteer, she has participated in many aspects of the patients' daily lives and has demonstrated an unparalleled devotion to their health and well being. Ms. Davidson encourages Veterans to participate in the Hospital's weekly activities, such as bingos, socials and sing songs. She has often provided comfort and supportive care at the bedside of Veterans at the end of their lives and, for Veterans who pass away and have no family present, has compassionately paid a last tribute to them at the National Cemetery for War Veterans at the Field of Honour in Pointe Claire. It has also become a tradition for Ms. Davidson and her family to spend Christmas Eve with the Veterans at the Hospital. In addition to her daily work with the Veterans at Ste. Anne's, Ms. Davidson helps by providing assistance to the Hospital Foundation, organizing used book sales, and training student volunteers. She attends all commemorative and special events and, through her involvement with numerous committees such as Héma Québec and Ville en santé, is a positive influence in her community.
