Retired Chief Warrant Officer Denis Tremblay is a very ardent supporter of Veterans’ causes. He is nominated for his service with the Royal Canadian Legion and the Veterans UN NATO Canada.
Since his retirement, he has taken on leadership roles in both the local branch of The Royal Canadian Legion in Saint-Anne-des-Monts and the Veterans UN NATO Canada branch in Gaspé. In the past year, he has been active with the local Veterans’ Committee planning, preparing and building the Parc de la Paix at Rivière-à-Claude. This project included a commemorative centerpiece of a LAV III, which is dedicated to the memory of all Veterans.
He helps Veterans access the benefits and services to which they are entitled. He is very active in assisting Veterans in understanding the procedures of the Veterans Affairs Canada tribunals and in supporting them throughout these processes. His work with The Royal Canadian Legion as a service officer includes being a liaison between Veterans and Veterans Affairs Canada.
He is active in the Poppy Campaign and is the Master of Ceremonies for the Remembrance Day ceremony in Saint-Anne-des-Monts.
