Dennis Chisholm

Dennis Chisholm has shown remarkable dedication to aiding homeless Veterans, first as a volunteer with VETS Canada and later with The Trail (Le Sentier).

Dennis has contributed greatly in outreach efforts, helping to connect Veterans with available services, including connecting them with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and assisting VAC in their case management. He has helped Veterans procure cell phones in order to contact Veteran resources and provided necessary support, from temporary shelters to more long term solutions. Dennis shows respect for Veterans’ military service and psychosocial complexities. He has shown great adaptability and creativity in proposing solutions, particularly in terms of housing resources.

His initiatives include playing a critical role in developing a housing-first based program, creating and securing long-term housing for Veterans, and founding the Music for Vets Program with The Trail (Le Sentier).

His work exemplifies commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable Veterans, offering them respect, support and compassionate assistance.
