Ms. Francine Beaudry is a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran who enlisted in 1977. She has served both at home and abroad, on peacekeeping missions and during the Cold War. Ms. Beaudry is Vice President of the Association des Vétérans Autochtones du Québec. As part of her involvement in ceremonies and events, she helps raise awareness around Indigenous culture and promotes the well-being of Veterans and their families through events such as Wounded Warriors Weekend, an activity supported by The Royal Canadian Legion.
She volunteers with the Québec City Cadet Corps to award numerous medals, trophies and certificates. She has been volunteering for more than 40 years, in roles such as an administrative officer and military instructor with the Cadet Corps 2793 in Chambly.
Through her commitment to Veterans and remembrance, she gives a lot of her time to the Royal Canadian Legion during the Poppy Campaign. She is Secretary of Branch 265 in Québec City and takes part in many branch activities such as Veteran funerals, visits to Maison Paul-Triquet and volunteering at local cadet corps. Ms. Beaudry is presently Vice-Commander of district 04 St-Laurent of the Royal Canadian Legion.
