Canadian Armed Forces in Europe

For more than a century, hundreds of thousands of Canadians have served in Europe during wars, security operations and peacekeeping missions. Over 110,000 Canadians lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars – most on the battlefields of Europe. Many Canadians served in Western Europe during the Cold War. And more recent peacekeeping missions brought tens of thousands of Canadian service members to the continent. Today, the Canadian Armed Forces continue to stand up for peace and freedom as part of NATO forces in Eastern Europe.

Join us in 2027 to recognize and remember the stories, achievements and sacrifices of Canadian service members in Europe.
