Son of Andres Helgi and Olive (née Borgford) Eyolfson of Leslie, Saskatchewan. Husband of Florella Juanita (née Gasson) and father of Brian John of Ottawa, Ontario. Brother of Siggi Eyolfson.
He was honourly discharged on 22 October 1945. He continued his career in the Regular Force.
1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, War Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross awarded 22 September 1944.
