Son of John and Annie Mildred (née Wassill) Wotherspoon of Langenbury, Saskatchewan. Husband of Ellen June (née Westman), father of Carol and Robert of Langenbury, Saskatchewan. He was the brother of Alfred Edward, who had also served with the Royal Canadian Air Force and died on March 17, 1945. Leading Craftsman Wotherspoon had previous Second World War Service in Canada and Overseas. He at Regina, Saskatchewan and was honourably discharged November 9, 1945. He re-enlisted December 9, 1948 and served until his death.
1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, and War Medal 1939-45.
