Son of Floyd and Janet Myrtle Waterer of Invermere, British Columbia. Husband of Elizabeth Lou (nee Fortowsky) Waterer of Bushell Park, Saskatchewan.
Captain Waterer was a member of the Snowbirds aerobatic team and flew as the Lead Solo. He was killed during an airshow in Trenton, Ontario.
