Location:

Loos (Loos-en-Gohelle) is a village to the north of the road from Lens to Bethune. From Lens, take the N43 towards Bethune. Arriving at Loos, turn right at CWGC sign post. The LOOS BRITISH CEMETERY is about 1 kilometre from Loos Church in the southern part of the village.

  • Inscription– This is the inscription on the Aberfoyle War Memorial, Perthshire. The 1901 Scottish Census shows the Wilson family living at Aberfoyle. His father was also called Archibald and his mother Christina. Two brothers Gavin and John also served in the Canadian Army and are mentioned on the memorial as casualties. Archibald (Arch.) enlisted on 18/12/1914 at Winnipeg. He was a barber by trade.
