J. R. Hopkins and Winnifred Irene Hopkins. He was the husband of Kathleen Doreen Hopkins, of Verdun, Quebec. He served with the Ontario Regiment, R.C.A.C. 11th Armd. Regt. He died on July 1, 1944 at 25 years of age. He was buried in the Assissi War Cemetery in Assissi, Peruglia, Italy V, E, 9.
