Baptized George Daniel Bisson at the Anglican Church in New Carlisle, Bonaventure, Québec, on 21 September 1904.

Son of Walter Gifford Bisson and Sarah Whittom, of Paspebiac, Québec. He served in Québec, in Newfoundland with Force W, in Hong Kong with Force C, in Japan as prisoner of war. He had 1,275 days of service, including 839 overseas.

Location:

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.

  • Photo of George Bisson– My Dad had this picture of George Bisson when he was in training camp. He was later sent to Hong Kong for it's defense.  George was captured and sent to a prisoner of war camp in Japan where he died.
