Son of Patrick Andrew Casey and Matilda Daoust. Husband of Mary Doris (alias Dora) Neville, of Pembroke. Ontario. Father of Mary Joan, Patricia Ann, Mary Sara and Neville Brian Casey, all of Ottawa.

Brother of Sergeant Joseph J. Casey, service number C/12629, of the 2nd Canadian Armored Brigade, 84th Company of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. He survived the war.

He served in Canada and Great Britain. He had 411 days of service, including 210 days overseas.

Villers-le-Chateau is a village and commune 8 kilometres west of Chalons-en-Champagne. In the churchyard, in the left-hand corner from the main entrance, are the graves of four British, two Canadian and one Australian airmen.
