His brothers Raymond and Gerard also served during the Second World War. Pilot Officer Gerard Albert Hergott died two years later on March 31, 1944.

Location:

Leuchars Cemetery lies to the north of the village of Leuchars, close to the main road to Dundee. From the Dundee direction take the A919 and turn right just before the start of the village, following signs to the cemetery and the golf course. The cemetery and golf course are on the other side of the railway line which is crossed by a narrow bridge. The cemetery is at the end of the road, with parking available adjacent to the golf course.
