The AMSTERDAM NEW EASTERN CEMETERY is in the south-eastern district of Amsterdam on the road to Hilversum and is easily reached by public transport. The British plots are in the south-eastern portion of the cemetery.

He trained as a Navigator and in the United Kingdom joined #426 Thunderbird Squadron. His Halifax bomber returning from a raid on Sterkrade, Germany on the night of June 17, 1944 when it crashed into the North Sea.
