The original pictures were supplied by the Sydney Post-Record and the booklet was compiled by Jack Wilcox, class of 1946 and Donald Trivett, class of 1947. Additional Information courtesy of Floyd Williston: F/O Eldred Mercer, age 24, was killed on February 19, 1943, while, taking off from 137 Squadron base at Manston, Kent, England. F/O Mercer's Whirlwind-P7114 collided with another aircraft which was taxiing along the same runway.
