Baptized Joseph-Louis-Philippe-Odilon Bourassa. Son of Philippe Bourassa and Marie-Clara Bellefeuille, of Morinville, Alberta. He stated being born in 1895 when he enlisted. After serving several months at the front, he was repatriated and released due to a chronic nephrite. He died 18 months later of this illness caused by his war service.
