Baptized Joseph-Lucien-Onésime Pichette. Son of Aquila Pichette, and Eugénie Bélanger (remarried to Selby Mignault in 1906), of Montréal, Québec. He stated being born on January 17 when he enlisted. He served with the 22nd Battalion in 1916 and was wounded to the legs in Courcelette. Sent back to the unit in 1917 he was then transferred to the Canadian Machine Gun Corps.

Take the D38 from Cherisy to Hendecourt. Approximately 2 kilometres from Cherisy turn left just before Sun Quarry Cemetery onto a dirt track. Continue for 1 kilometre before turning left to arrive at Quebec Cemetery.
