  • Grave marker– Grave of Major Donald Aylmer MacKay who served with the 87th Battn. C.E.F. He was born in Golo Quebec on Jan. 10th 1881. Husband of Helen Christine MacKay of West Vancouver BC. He enlisted into the C.E.F. at Quebec City Quebec on Feb. 12th 1915 listing prior military service of 1 year with the 58th Battn. 4 years with the 5th Royal Scots Regt. & 3 years with the 7th Hussars Canadian Militia. He listed his occupation as "Contractor" He was wounded in action in France in 1917 and was invalided back to Canada, where he succumbed to his wounds on Sept. 30th 1920 at the age of 39 and was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
