Husband of Marianne Lorainne (nee Little) Knight and father of Patricia Anne, Suzanne Marie, Edward John Joseph, Catherine Lorainne and Christine Elizabeth. There was a Commemorative gathering in front of the Memorial Cairn at Wegner Point on 8 May 2008 to mark the 40th anniversary of the deaths of the seven fallen paratroopers who drowned in 1968 during a para drop exercise at CFB Petawawa.
