The Pilot Officer William Kennedy Ferguson Window was erected by his parents in Peterborough's St. Paul's Presbyterian Church and dedicated in 1947. The window consists of two lights, one depicting St. Michael and the other depicting St. George. Above the lights is a dormer with a Royal Canadian Air Force insignia.

St. Paul's Presbyterian Church at 120 Murray Street, Peterborough, was sold by the congregation and subsequently demolished, carefully, in 2019. The window is currently in storage.

The Airmen Memorial is dedicated to all airmen from Peterborough and District. It was erected by the 428 Wing Royal Canadian Air Force Association on June 5, 1971.

It was assembled near Montreal and first flew on May 6, 1954. Six days later, it was an operational fighter/trainer at CFB Clinton for Canadian pilots and ground crews to master radar. In April 1957, the aircraft was stationed to CFB Chatham and used to train pilots in battle scenarios. By 1970, it was decommissioned and sold to a war surplus store near the Chatham base. Three members of the local Air Force Association 428 Wing, Alf Dawson, Gord Wilson and Vince Strano, purchased the aircraft for a memorial at a cost of $4,500.

The wings were removed and loaded with the fuselage onto a flatbed donated by Eddie Redmond, manager of Toronto-Peterborough Transport Company. The T-shaped reinforced steel frame was fabricated by Central Steel and inserted into the reassembled body and wings of the fighter to support its weight. It was repainted and renumbered to reflect its new home with the 428 wing and hoisted into its current location by Eastwood Construction workers. 

Shortly after the First World War, a tall cenotaph was erected with names from that war. Because there was no place to add the Second World War names, a new cenotaph was erected.

In 1927, Mrs. Kathleen Davidson, a wealthy Toronto hotel owner, purchased a lot for a memorial park in memory of Lieutenant Walter T. Robus (Tommie). This lot had an abandoned house that was demolished and replaced by two stone cairns with lights and plaques. The park was dedicated on August 15, 1927.

Tommie Robus was born to Henry Hunt Robus and Annie Louise Germain in Shoreditch, London, England on August 15, 18942. At the age of 17, he immigrated to Canada on February 25, 1911 and became a farm labourer in Norwood. Tommie had enlisted in Norwood on August 15, 1914, and had a successful military career in the First World War before being employed by Mrs. Davidson in the years prior to his death. While working at the hotel, Tommie told stories of the war to Kathleen and her daughter Shon. Kathleen was impressed and considered him a friend as well as an employee.

During the First World War, Tommie was at both the Battle of Neuve Chapelle and the Battle of St Julien. He was a member of the 1st  Brigade bomb throwers and also worked with the 10th Battalion. By June 7, he received a promotion to Corporal. On June 9, 1915, Tommie was wounded on the front at Festubert and Givenchy. He received a potato masher bomb in the jaw that cracked the jawbone, cut his mouth and broke teeth on one side. He spent about six weeks recuperating at the No. 2 Canadian General Hospital at Le Treport.

He was promoted to Lance Sergeant on November 15, 1915. Tommie's second injury occurred on January 1, 1916 at Wulverghem, Belgium when he received two gunshot wounds to his right thigh.  He returned to the French front on April 19, 1917. On June 2 at the Battle of Sorrel in Ypres, Tommie was again injured. He received shrapnel in his right shoulder and was on his back for about two weeks. Tommie was only deemed fit to return to France on November 8, 1917. He was promoted to Lieutenant on January 26, 1918, but did not return to the front until June 8 when he was part of the 2nd Canadian Battalion, 1st Canadian Brigade.

After participating in the Battle of Amiens he was injured near Arras. This time the injury was to his chest and again he was dangerously ill. After treatment, he was discharged on October 21.

On July 26, 1927, the Council in Norwood agreed to placing two plaques on the cobblestone cairns at the park entrance and to care for the memorial park.

The Lakefield Cenotaph was erected by the people of Lakefield and district to perpetuate the memory of their sons who paid the supreme sacrifice in the service of their God and country. Work was completed on the cenotaph during the second week of February of 1930. The contractor, John Coughlin of Peterborough, built the monument in six sections, each weighing approximately four and one-half tons, with gray granite obtained from Stanstead, Quebec. The Canadian gray granite takes the form of a Celtic Cross or Cross of Sacrifice, which is chiseled in bold relief on the front of the cenotaph

It was unveiled by Colonel Anderson, D.S.O. district officer, commanding Military District No. 2 and dedicated to the village heroic dead on Sunday, June 1, 1930. Prayers of dedication were offered by Ven. Archdeacon J.C. Davidson chaplain of the 93 Battalion in a very large gathering of citizens of Lakefield and district, comrades from the Canadian Legion, clergy, militia, cadets and school children.

Also attending the unveiling were the relatives of those named on the cenotaph, with many of the women (still deeply in mourning) proudly displaying the medals of husbands or sons. Small boys from the Grove School represented the young generation to whom the war was only history. Behind them stood the citizens of Lakefield in phalanx 4 and 5 deep. The troops and ex-servicemen, headed by Lakefield Citizens band under bandmaster Walter Madill, marched down Bridge Street to the tune of "God Bless the Prince of Wales."

At their head was Standard-bearer Sergeant Thomas Cunningham. At the rear was the Lakefield High School Cadets under Cadet Captain Ronald Kemp, and the Grove School Cadets Corps under Cadet Captain John MaCuley with their bugle band in charge of bandmaster Beardmore, son of Colonel Beardmore of the Toronto Grenadiers, and colour party with Colour-bearer J. McCrae, ex-servicemen of the Canadian Legion, Lakefield Post No. 77 in command of President J.R. Hill M.M., and a detachment of the Peterborough Rangers and the 3rd Company 4th Machine Gun corps.

The guard of honour, in the charge of Sergeant Stenner, an old soldier of the Afghan and South African campaigns, and member of the original Princess Patricians Canadian Light Infantry, took up their positions on each of the four corners on the grass plot surrounding the Cenotaph. The other members of the honour guard were Lawrence Charlton, Edward Tighe and Arthur Barker. The last two were former members of the 93 Battalion. The outer guard was supplied by members of the Peterborough Rangers Regiment and was changed periodically.

Rev. A.W. Mackenzie, D.D., principal of the Grove School, gave the introductory address. The speaker called attention to the presence of an old comrade, John Edwards, who served in the Fenian Raids and who is one of the last of that company of men who served under, Colonel Anderson, read the honour roll and then unveiled the Cenotaph while bugler, Cadet C. Warren, sounded the Last Post. This was followed by an interval of two minutes' silence and the sounding of the Reveille, at which time the guard of honour and all troops on parade stood at attention.

"O Canada" was sung by the entire assembly and a short address given by Colonel Charles Ackerman who read the funeral oration of Pericles. Colonel Ackerman also called attention to the flag which had shrouded the cenotaph. It had been presented by Lord Jellicoe to the Canadian Legion and was lent by that organization for this occasion.

W.H. Casement, of the War Memorial Committee, presented the cenotaph to the town of Lakefield, to be taken care of by the citizens for all time. In accepting the honour, Reeve C.S. Tanner said, "We also accept the responsibility for caring for and protecting it. We are honoured to accept the sacred duty."

The War Memorial Committee was composed of the following: Rev. A.W. Mackenzie, W.H. Casement, postmaster, G.G. Connell, manager of the Royal Bank, R.E.Nevison, former manager of the local branch Canadian Bank of Commerce, J.R. Hill, and K.A. Mackenzie, who represented the veterans of the Legion, M.P. Kennedy, who was the first man in Lakefield to enlist on the outbreak of the First World War, Mrs. W.M. Graham, and Miss B Graham.

This memorial is dedicated to all ex-service members and was erected by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 300. Every ex-service member's grave has a custom metal maple leaf with their names inscribed.

The Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Cenotaph was erected by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 389 and is dedicated to the men and women who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War.
