The Province of Ontario founded the St. Marys Memorial Hospital in 1950 to commemorate the St. Marys' community losses at the end of the Second World War.

The Listowel Memorial Hospital provides hospital services to the residents of North Perth area. The accredited hospital offers a wide range of primary and secondary services including 24-hour emergency services. In-patient and out-patient care, specialist clinics and supportive diagnostic services include: Operating Rooms, Ambulatory Care Units, Maternal/Newborn Unit, Diabetes/Nutrition Counselling, Speech-Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, and a Breast Health Centre.

The hospital was erected in 1919.

Veterans Memorial Parkway is a 9.2 kilometre four-lane expressway previously known as Highway 100 (1977 - 1994), and also as Airport Road prior to September 2006.

In 2005, a group of local Veterans approached council which approved their suggestion of renaming Airport Road to Veterans Memorial Parkway. On September 15, 2006, the Government of Canada joined Veterans and the City of London to honour the sacrifices and contributions made by Canadian Veterans and paid tribute to fallen service men and women. Part of the ceremony was the unveiling of new road signs and remembrance banners which were installed at major intersections along the Parkway.

This plaque was dedicated by Stratford employees of the Bell Telephone Company of Canada in honour of their comrade who gave his life in the Second World War. It is not known where the plaque is located now.

Normandy Drive was dedicated in 1946 to honour Stratford Veterans who served with units that took part in the Battle of Normandy Invasion in 1944.

Victory in the Battle of Normandy came at a terrible cost. The Canadians suffered the highest casualties of any divisions in the British Army Group during the campaign. Some 359 Canadian soldiers were killed on D-Day alone, and a total of more than 5,000 would die during the two-and-a-half-months of fighting in Normandy.
