The clock on the Mackenzie building at RMC is in memory of deceased members of the class entering the college in 1921. It was presented at the RMC Club reunion in 1968 on the 45th anniversary.

The chimes on the clock was a gift of the classes graduating in 1958 and 1987. They were installed in 1993.

The Old Eighteen plaque, which hangs outside the Mackenzie building was funded by the family of AGG Wurtele. The Royal Military College opened in June 1876 with its first class of 18 cadets (soon known as the " Old Eighteen").

The education provided was designed to prepare graduates for civil as well as military careers. Since 1880, when the first class of cadets graduated, ex-cadets have distinguished themselves in many areas.

The Memorial Centre opened in 1951, a community sports and entertainment centre that would become a "living memorial" in remembrance of Kingstonians who gave their life in both World Wars and the Korean War.
