The Royal Canadian Navy National Commemorative Ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic. This Ceremony will be preceded by the Re-dedication of the Battle of Atlantic Memorial Wall of Honour.

The Sons of Scotland Pipe Band welcome you to join them on Saturday, May 3, for a very special commemoration to mark VE Day 80 in Ottawa.
Join us at the Canadian War Museum at 3 pm as the performance begins - each of the 80 registered pipers play for 1 minute starting at the War Museum - ending at the National War Memorial at 5 pm.
At 5:30 pm, the pipers are joined by 20 drummers to play traditional music at the War Memorial.
Canadian Historian Ted Barris returns to the Barrie Legion on Tuesday evening, April 29, 2025 to tell the amazing story of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (the BCATP) in this the 80th Year of the end of WWII in Europe. Ted will share the stories that he researched and wrote about in his book, Behind The Glory. Within its five-year life-span, the BCATP supplied a continuous flow of battle-ready pilots, navigators, wireless radio operators, air gunners, flight engineers, riggers and ground crew, principally for the RCAF, the RAF as well as the USAAF.
