Brother of Private Jack Maynard, who was killed in action on September 29, 1918 while serving with the Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment) and Private George Maynard, who died of wounds on August 4, 1917, while serving with the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment).
