The Bancroft Cenotaph was constructed in 1956 by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 181. The base is constructed of local fieldstone and contains a marble insert from the original memorial which was erected by the Girls Club of the Allies. The marble insert lists the names of those lost in the First World War. The main part of the memorial lists the names of those lost in both World Wars and the Korean War.
The Dutch-Canadian Friendship Garden is also located here.
