Youth remember Canada’s Mission in Afghanistan
The Canadian Armed Forces efforts in Afghanistan between 2001 and 2014 have had an important impact on how our country sees itself on the world stage. Using the lesson plans below, we encourage educators to help young people become involved in understanding the mission and the role of Canada’s military in defending peace and security around the world.
Schools and community groups can also arrange to have a guest speaker visit them to talk about the Afghanistan mission. We also encourage you to send an e-card to a Veteran any day of the year.
